Match orders

Match orders
Match orders affect all players who play in the match:

  • 'Take It Easy' - PFL loss of the players will decrease by around 30% (compared to a PAN).
  • 'Play As Normal' - players will lose a 'normal' amount of PFL.
  • 'Go For It' - PFL loss of the players will increase by about 50% (compared to a PAN).

Individual player instructions

You can give instructions to each batsman as to how to approach his innings: Attacking, Normal or Defensive.

The match orders influence how many chances they take in an attempt to produce a result. For batsmen this produces a faster run rate but more chance of losing their wicket. Similarly for bowlers it increases the chance each ball will either go for runs or take a wicket. It's not the only factor, of course. For example a more skilful bowler can throttle back the run making potential of an inferior batsman no matter how aggressive you've told him to bat.

Similarly, you can give the same choice of orders to each of your 5 bowlers that you have nominated. Although the batsman and bowlers will generally follow this order, they may deviate if the situation requires it. They are more likely to do this if their experience is high.

Individual match order have no impact on player form.

Home team advantage

At present the only advantage held by the Home team is the ability to prepare the pitch type. No other bias or advantage exists.
